Rodger Johnson is an Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis health communication doctoral candidate in the Department of Communication Studies. His research interests lie at the intersection of global health, wellness, and communication for social change.

A former public relations and digital content communication professional, among other accomplishments, he has worked with the world's largest device manufacturer of products for diabetes care. In that role, he worked in the global marketing division to launch a worldwide social media community for diabetes care. Rodger's current focus is vaccine hesitancy communication research.
